Anuk Rocha — Founder & Director

Anuk Rocha is a contemporary visual artist whose work bridges painting, installation, and experimental media. Trained in fine arts and art history, she has developed a practice deeply rooted in storytelling, symbolism, and the interplay between tradition and modernity. Rocha’s works often explore the thresholds between myth and lived experience, evoking layered narratives that invite open interpretation. Her exhibitions have been presented in both independent spaces and established institutions, earning her recognition for her ability to combine conceptual rigor with a strong visual sensibility.

Nibelungen Gallery

Founded by Anuk Rocha, Nibelungen Gallery is an artist-run space dedicated to fostering dialogue, experimentation, and collaboration within the contemporary art community. The gallery operates on the belief that artists are not only creators but also curators, facilitators, and cultural voices. Guided by Rocha’s vision, Nibelungen Gallery champions works that challenge convention, bridge disciplines, and open new ways of seeing.

A central part of Rocha’s mission is to uplift fellow artists whose work she deeply admires, creating opportunities for their art to be seen, appreciated, and collected. Through carefully curated exhibitions, she connects these artists with her network of collectors, ensuring their voices resonate beyond the studio.

Operating at the intersection of local engagement and international perspective, the gallery prioritizes curatorial freedom, emerging talent, and projects that might not find a home in more commercially driven spaces. Each exhibition is conceived as a conversation — between artists, audiences, and the wider cultural landscape — reflecting Rocha’s commitment to art as an evolving, communal practice.

Under her direction, Nibelungen Gallery has become both a platform and a laboratory, where risk-taking is encouraged, and where the boundaries between studio, exhibition space, and public forum are intentionally blurred. It is a space shaped by the artist’s sensibility, yet open to the multiplicity of voices that define contemporary art today.
